I live in Lalapettai Village in Ranipet District. My father died in my childhood and my mother worked as a teacher in an Anganwadi and made me study. I passed 12th standard from Sri Ramakrishna BHEL Higher Secondary School with 978 marks. When I was in 12th standard, the Universal Higher Education Trust organized an awareness program on the importance of access to higher education. During this program, the staff members explained about the “HEARTS” scheme which supports economically weaker students to enrol in their Higher Education. I applied for B.Sc. (Nursing) in Billroth Nursing College of Chennai. I approached Universal Higher Education Trust for a scholarship. After verifying our family’s financial condition, they gave scholarship for my college education. It was of great help to finish my course. Now I am working as Staff Nurse in C.M.C. Vellore. I express my heartfelt gratitude to UHET for providing scholarship to complete my education.
